I'm halfway through Acts of the Apostles -- should I switch to Biodigital?

Thanks for the freebies!

No, I would not suggest switching from Acts to Biodigital halfway through. For "reasons," as they say, I undertook a major overhaul of Acts, at the end of which, a new book, Biodigital, existed. They're both basically the same story, but each has about 35% cut, and 35% new stuff added, relative to the other. So if you jumped halfway through, it would be confusing -- plus, you would lose your investment in some sub-plots of Acts that do not appear in Biodigital.

Among people who have read both books, some prefer Acts while others prefer Biodigital. I would say that Acts has a more cyberpunk/science fiction feel, whereas Biodigital has more of a straight-ahead thriller feel. A significant difference in focus is that the character Bartlett Aubrey has a more prominent role in Biodigital. The new novel, Mountain of Devils, coming Real Soon Now, is the story of how Bartlett committed her life to science when she was 12 years old, and of how that caused a fateful encounter with Monty Meekman, which she kept hidden from her husband many years later.

Thank you for the Biodigital book present, John! I haven’t had an opportunity to read it yet, I have quite a few ARCs to read now.

Even though I’m not taking on more, these ARCs are already from authors I had already signed up with their teams and well, they are some of my favourite writers, so I can’t say no because I do want to read the books! 😄

Rest assured, you will know when I read it, because I post reviews to all the books I read, 99% of them at least.

Thank you, John. Have a lovely day! 🧡
