Promo: Sign up for an author’s newsletter, get a free book.
Three promos going on now through the end of March, 2024, include one or more of my books. All of them offer my hackertastic novel Biodigital, one of them also includes the illustrated dystopian phantasmagoria The Pains.
Every time anybody clicks on one of the promo images it helps me out, even if you don’t want a free book; even if you’re already subscribed to Sundman figures it out!.
I repeat: even if you don’t want a free book, clicking on one or more of the promo images helps me by boosting my karma at the promo site.
(If you’re already subscribed and would like a copy of Biodigital or The Pains, that works too. Just click on a promo that has the book you want and grab a copy.)
Biodigital, a nanotech thriller about Silicon Valley tech genius and would-be messiah Monty Meekman and the quasi-religious cult of transhumanist computer designers and brain hackers who follow him, is set in the 1990's but as current whatever's trending now.
Five years after his best friend, a computer chip designer named Todd, gets shot in the head, burnt-out Silicon Valley software engineer Nick Aubrey boards an overnight flight from San Francisco to Boston and winds up seated next to a very disturbed man who claims to know the secret of Gulf War Syndrome. Over Utah, Nick's chance companion meets his dramatic demise and the police accuse Nick of murder. Soon the police are the least of Nick's worries. On the run from a Silicon Valley tech messiah and the deadly cult of DNA hackers that venerates him, tempted by exotic foreign beauties, betrayed by those closest to him, Nick comes to understand that his only hope lies in unravelling one central mystery: who shot his friend Todd five years ago, and why? The answer will change him. Forever.
Biodigital invites you to contemplate a world where billionaire venture capitalists set the agenda, and where anything that can be hacked will be hacked — from hardware to software to DNA to the human soul.
Note to people who got here via an earlier promo
I’d really love to hear from you! Which book did you get? Did you like it? How can I persuade you to write a review? What do you think of Sundman figures it out!? Come on, throw a dog a bone. I gave you a free book, won’t you at least say hello?
I'm halfway through Acts of the Apostles -- should I switch to Biodigital?
Thanks for the freebies!
Thank you for the Biodigital book present, John! I haven’t had an opportunity to read it yet, I have quite a few ARCs to read now.
Even though I’m not taking on more, these ARCs are already from authors I had already signed up with their teams and well, they are some of my favourite writers, so I can’t say no because I do want to read the books! 😄
Rest assured, you will know when I read it, because I post reviews to all the books I read, 99% of them at least.
Thank you, John. Have a lovely day! 🧡
